Pick one of the coolest people in history and tell me what car from the 2017 or 2018 model year they would drive. Im going to go with Bruce Lee and the AMG GT C Roadster.

Eddie Rickenbacker - Buick Cascada.
American brand, premium, open top to feel the wind in his hair, mechanically interesting. A Cadillac is too bulky and flashy by just a *hair*. Weird, but not very assuming.
As to not being an objectively good idea, well, Eddie’s own car brand was a flop too.

Not a bad car, but it’s an Astra convertible.
Astra = German equivalent of Chevy Cavalier.

I know, but I had to find something that was smallish, dull, and quirky all at the same time while being both generally well-ish made and American-branded and convertible. I didn’t think Chrysler group’s offerings would cut it.
